Former Team India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni is well known for his cricketing skills, but he has equally mastered the skills of entrepreneurship.
Dhoni owns several businesses like footwear, a gym, and a football league team.
A couple of months back, the dashing cricketer had entered into the poultry business. He had ordered 2,000 black chicken breed birds Kadaknath for his Ranchi farm.
Dhoni also reportedly is growing vegetables at his Ranchi farmhouse and is on the verge of exporting the consignment to Dubai with the Jharkhand Agriculture Department’s help, India Today reported.
The department uses the “All Season Farm Fresh” agency to send consignments of vegetables to Gulf countries.
Strawberries, cabbage, tomatoes, broccoli, peas, hock, and papaya are extensively cultivated in about 10 acres of his 43-acre farmhouse at Ring Road in Sembo village.
There is also a huge demand for cabbage, tomatoes, and peas grown in Dhoni’s farmhouse in the Ranchi market.
Dhoni is at present on vacation with his family in Dubai to celebrate the New Year.
Dhoni had announced his retirement from international cricket on August 15 last year, which left many of his fans shell-shocked.
Dhoni had not played a single international match after he was run out in the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup semifinal against New Zealand.
After the semifinal exit, Dhoni did not make himself available for any of the bilateral series amidst speculations that it would be difficult for him to stage a comeback into the Indian team.
He, however, played for Chennai Super Kings as skipper in IPL 2021.
