Bengaluru, NFAPost: Kauvery Group of Hospitals, South India’s emerging healthcare service provider, announced the soft launch of its first hospital in Bengaluru.
As part of the initiative, the group has acquired 100% stake in Ramakrishna Smart Hospital, Electronic city, Bengaluru. The Memorandum of Agreement signed on the 24th August 2020, allows the Kauvery management to take over and run the hospital immediately.
The hospital, presently a 150 bed facility with OP and IP blocks, will become 300 beds with a state of the art comprehensive tertiary care multi-speciality facility within a span of 24 months.
Healthcare facility
In addition, the group is embarking on an ambitious plan of adding another 500 beds in different parts of Bengaluru in the next 3-4 years. The group has another healthcare facility in Hosur which will add to its strength in becoming a significant player in the Bengaluru region.
The Kauvery group is focused on a major expansion plan from 1200 to a 3000-bed hospital group across South India in 3- 4 years. A journey that started from a tier 2 city to a metro favourite has been inspiring.

Patient care
In addition to being a successful secondary and tertiary care service provider with focussed initiatives on patient care, Kauvery hospital group as part of its corporate social responsibility has been involved in various social activities in healthcare. Recently, the group has joined hands with the government of Tamil Nadu and started a non- profit joint initiative with Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation (TNSDC) called ‘The Apex Skill Development Corporation in Healthcare.
The core aim of this venture is to “to up-skill, reskill and cross skill around 35000 healthcare workers across the state in the next couple of years. This is the first of its kind Public-Private Partnership between the Government and a private healthcare provider in Tamil Nadu.
This programme offers valuable training to the entire spectrum of the healthcare workers namely Doctors, Nurses, Paramedical staffs, non-clinical administrative staffs, and auxiliary staffs. This skill development Initiative, the Kauvery group believes will certainly, help in improving the quality of the healthcare delivery.
