Bengaluru, NFAPost: Tech-enabled D2C aggregator startup Shiprocket has announced its plans to begin hiring in the current quarter of the year to fortify its existing team of 310 employees.
Having hired 25 candidates in the last quarter (April-June), the e-commerce logistics aggregator plans to hire an additional 60 highly skilled applicants in the current quarter.
Shiprocket had to go through tiring time with the lockdown hitting its supply chain network. After that the He said the demand to supply ratio was not balanced with the demand increasing exponentially. Goel explained Shiprocket’s report was based on the patterns and trends observed.
Account management
The strategic appointments will be aimed at strengthening multiple teams such as, engineering, product, logistics operations and account management at junior and mid-level positions.
The brand will be scouting for candidates with strong interpersonal communication skills, analytical skills, time management, relationship building, and a flair for customer service. This hiring will take place over the next six months.
Speaking on the plans to hire, Shiprocket Co-founder and CEO Saahil Goel said while the pandemic has disrupted most sectors, the company is delighted to announce that Shiprocket is offering job opportunities to professionals even during these challenging times.
Holistic skill set
“For these crucial roles across key teams such as product, engineering, and KAM, we will be appointing candidates with holistic skill-sets combining soft and technical skills. At this juncture, we look forward to onboarding new people with fresh ideas who will support Shiprocket on its accelerated growth trajectory,” said Shiprocket Co-founder, and CEO Saahil Goel.
Due to the current situation, Shiprocket is actively organising video interviews for potential candidates. The brand is looking for candidates through job portals, personal networks, internal references, and third-party vendors.
Along with the internal hiring, the brand intends to expand its customer service call center aggressively in preparation for the festive season demand. On the back of its hiring endeavours, Shiprocket is witnessing a 25% increase year-on-year in its team size.

Incepted in 2017, Shiprocket works with MSMEs in the e-commerce sector, providing shipments to 220 countries across 26,000+ pin codes. The brand currently has over 1.5 lakh sellers on board and works with 15 courier partners for seamless last-mile deliveries.
