Bengaluru, NFAPost: Ubisoft’s next major instalment in its popular Far Cry series finally shows up on PlayStation Hong Kong Store as a leaked cover poster while Ubisoft has confirmed its reveal (via Twitter) for this weekend’s E3 replacement event.
Far Cry 6 Character and Game Location Details
The leak gives away some fine details of the game such as its main antagonist and a likely female protagonist. The leaked cover poster of the game also reveals that the game would be set in the tropical paradise called Yara with Anton Castillo and his son Diego sparking off a new revolution to reset the nation to its former glory.

A spate of recent rumours had already tipped us that a new Far Cry game would be just around the corner as it could be part of Ubisoft’s upcoming list of AAA titles to be unveiled at the E3 event (aka Ubisoft Forward) on Sunday.
The rumours have indeed turned out true, following Ubisoft’s official confirmation about the same via Twitter. Ubisoft fans are in for some special treat as we now have four more AAA games coming out from the famed publisher this year – Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Rainbow Six: Quarantine, Gods & Monsters and Watch Dogs Legion.
Far Cry 6 Storyline/Game Plot
As per the leaked game description, it looks like the game plot revolves around mission objectives causing chaos and mayhem like in the Just Cause series. Rico (aka Rodriguez) is allegedly tipped for another showdown of rebellion against the oppressors to help Dani out.
Finally, the Far Cry series seems to be revamping its faceless characters into something more of a life-like character as you get to play the role of Dani Rojas with the ability to choose the gender of your playable character.
Furthermore, it is likely that we might see a comic character in the shoes of a villain to encourage a fun interaction between the game’s chief protagonist and the antagonist.
Given the feminine name of the playable character, there is every chance that the hero could be a woman as that would bring a new dimension to the game’s storyline.
Emmy nominee Giancarlo Esposito plays the role of Anton Castillo in the game, which is another big plus considering the game’s one-dimensional characters in the past.
With the launch of Cyberpunk 2077 just a few months away, magnanimous characters like Keanu Reeves (featuring in the game) will spur a lot of interest among the Hollywood fans.
Far Cry 6 Release Date
Coming to its release, the PlayStation store leak confirms that the game will hit the retail shelves on 18 February, 2021.
