Bengaluru, NFAPost: Pine Labs, one of Asia’s leading merchant commerce platforms, introduced ePOS, an Android mobile payment application for merchants during the nationwide lockdown with an eye to help merchants engaged in essential services accept payments in a safe manner.
The has found some exciting use cases and is now being widely used by merchants across India as is evident from the more than 50,000 installs of this app on the Google Play Store. The app helps merchants accept payments via credit cards, debit cards, UPI, and mobile wallets using just their Android smartphone.
Pine Labs Spokesperson spokesperson said the company is very happy to see the traction which ePOS by Pine Labs has witnessed with its launch recently.
“Covid-19 is a Black Swan event and the national lockdown that followed was quite unprecedented. We had to be agile and come up with a product that could help the merchants in this hour of crisis. ePOS product launch showcased our commitment to our merchant partners to innovate and adapt using the best of technology. We will continue to innovate and make our products in tune with the times to help merchants grow in the process,” said Pine Labs Spokesperson
Using the ePOS app, merchants can generate a link and share it with the customer via a text message and the latter can then pay directly via card, UPI and Bharat QR using their mobile phone in a completely contactless manner.
A recent Pine Labs’ internal survey also points to the fact that merchants are eager to digitize their PoS infrastructure and make it ready to accept new-age digital payment modes like UPI. During this time of a pandemic, customers are also keen to transact in a safe and contactless manner, therefore ePOS emerges as a win-win for both the merchants and the customers.
