Chennai, NFAPost: To help customers connect with each other and move their matchmaking conversations forward during the lockdown, BharatMatrimony, the leading online matchmaking service, announced the launch of “Live in-app video chatting”.
The new feature is to address the challenge of members currently being unable to meet in person outside home, due to the lockdown restrictions. The video chat feature provides privacy controls to the individuals and allows matches to connect via video call without exchanging phone numbers.
Talking about the pioneering feature, Matrimony.com Founder and CEO Murugavel Janakiraman said as the lockdown has forced people to stay indoors, the company had to find a way to let matches connect safely.
“W want our clients take the next step to find their life partner. We believe that this will remain a most-used feature even after the lockdown and social distancing ends,” said Matrimony.com Founder and CEO Murugavel Janakiraman.
The exclusive feature for Premium Members allows them to chat face-to-face on video before the actual meeting in person. This also helps prospects and their families to get to know each other better.
Women’s safety has been accorded utmost priority and they can only receive video calls from Premium Members they contacted or responded to earlier. On the other hand, men can get video calls from any premium women member and will be able to call only women members who responded to their earlier enquiry. Both male and female members will have privacy options wherein they can specify who can initiate video call with them.
To use the live video option, currently available on the Android app, both the members must have the latest Android version of the app.
