Amritsar, NFAPost: Reliance Jio has announced to offer free Disney+ Hotstar VIP subscription to its prepaid users through select recharge plans.
The telecom company is providing a one-year subscription to its prepaid users, who recharge their Jio account with Rs. 401 plan, Rs. 2,599 plan, Rs. 612 data voucher, or Rs. 1,208 data voucher.
Currently, Disney+ Hotstar VIP subscription costs Rs.399, so if any Jio user recharges their account with any of the above mentioned plans, they get the subscription for free, over and above the usual plan-specific benefits.
The company has been advertising the Disney+ Hotstar offer for a few days now that had generated a great deal of interest among subscribers.
Reliance Jio is the second telecom operator to introduce such an offer. Airtel in April had also launched a similar offer that gives a one-year subscription of Disney+ Hotstar VIP on recharge plan of Rs. 401.
It is important to note that to continue using Disney+ Hotstar VIP, the Jio users will have to keep their account active with a base recharge plan.
Additionally, it is also crucial to note that the subscription provided by Reliance Jio is for Disney+ Hotstar VIP, and not the Premium subscription. The company has not mentioned how long the offer will remain available.
Disney+ Hotstar VIP subscription includes local-language dubs of Marvel, Star Wars, Pixar, and Disney movies, as well as Hotstar Specials, live sports, and kids content, among others.
